TO REGISTER FOR A DRIVING TEST:
AGES 16 to 17 (and up to 24 years of age having completed a comprehensive teen driver education course). Applicants must have a valid Texas Learner License. In addition, the following must be provided to the school.


DE-964 Driver Education Certificate showing completion of a comprehensive Teen Driver Education Course consisting of 32 hours of classroom theory / 14 hours of in-car training with a licensed instructor / 30 hours of supervised practice with an adult.



IMPACT TEXAS TEEN DRIVER completion certificate – Obtained from DPS by mail or printed at home upon completion of the 2-hour DPS online program. (Click HERE to take the ITTD program. See LOCATIONS below for the license number to enter as the “School Number” when registering.)

 
AGES 18 to 24. Applicants must have a valid Texas Learner License. In addition, the following must be provided to the school.


ADE-1317 Adult Driver Education Certificate showing completion of a six-hour driver education course exclusively for adults. (If the certificate was submitted to the DPS, a Texas Learner License is proof of completion.



IMPACT TEXAS YOUNG DRIVER (ITTYD) completion certificate – Obtained from DPS by mail or printed at home upon completion of the one-hour DPS one-hour program.(Click HERE to take the ITYD program. See LOCATIONS below for the license number to enter as the “School Number” when registering.)

 
AGES 25 and older. Applicants must have a valid Texas Learner License. In addition, the following must be provided to the school.
